Romantic fiction is usually about the mutual attraction between a man and woman, usually having a happy ending or a Love Triangle. As of now, it is the most popular genre in North America, mainly appealing to preteen and teenage girls, and some older women, though some men do read them. Most romance novels nowadays involve teenagers. Romantic Fiction can be difficult to write without sounding cliche.
Like Fantasy Fiction, Romantic Fiction can be combined with almost any other genre, since it can exist wherever and whenever there are two creatures that can fall in love.
